Franchise FAQ

Answers about franchise costs, qualifications, clinical staffing, training, territory, ownership, opening, and Netra Restoration Therapy.

About the Concept

What is a Netra Eye Institute franchise?

A Netra Eye Institute franchise is a specialized integrative eye-care business centered on Netra Restoration Therapy. Franchisees receive the right to use the Netra brand and approved operating system, subject to the FDD, franchise agreement, training requirements, professional licensing laws, and clinical standards.

What is Netra Restoration Therapy?

Netra Restoration Therapy is a structured, individualized complementary care framework designed to support ocular physiology and functional vision. It draws from Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, herbal and nutritional support, Ayurvedic principles, lifestyle guidance, and contemporary concepts related to ocular blood flow, neuroprotection, oxidative stress, inflammation, metabolic health, and resilience. NRT does not replace conventional eye care.

Do I need to be an ophthalmologist?

No. The franchise is not limited to ophthalmologists. However, the services that any individual may provide depend on their license, training, state law, and the approved clinical model. Diagnosis and conventional medical treatment of eye disease remain within the scope of appropriately licensed eye-care physicians and professionals.

Do I need to be a licensed healthcare professional?

Not necessarily. Qualified entrepreneurs may be eligible to own or manage the non-clinical business under an approved legal structure while appropriately licensed professionals provide clinical care. State professional-ownership and corporate-practice rules vary.

Which licensed professionals may qualify?

Potential candidates may include licensed acupuncturists, Doctors of Oriental Medicine, physicians, osteopathic physicians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, naturopathic doctors where licensed, nurses or advanced-practice professionals, rehabilitation professionals, chiropractors, and other healthcare professionals. Eligibility to own does not authorize every professional to provide every service.

Can an existing practice become a Netra Eye Institute?

Possibly. Existing practices may be considered for full conversion, a dedicated branded suite, or another approved configuration. The location, legal structure, team, services, claims, technology, design, and clinical processes must meet franchise standards.

Investment and Qualifications

How much does a Netra Eye Institute franchise cost?

The current estimated initial-investment range and franchise fee will be provided in Item 7 of the FDD.

What financial qualifications are required?

Minimum liquid-capital and net-worth qualifications will be established in the FDD and candidate criteria.

Does Netra provide financing?

Unless stated otherwise in the FDD, Netra does not directly finance franchise purchases. The franchisor may identify third-party lenders or educational resources, but loan approval is not guaranteed.

What ongoing fees will I pay?

The FDD will disclose the continuing royalty, brand-fund contribution, technology fees, training fees, renewal fees, transfer fees, and any other recurring or conditional charges.

How much revenue can a center generate?

Netra will provide financial-performance representations only through Item 19 of the FDD or as otherwise permitted by law. Results vary, and no revenue, profit, break-even date, or return on investment can be guaranteed.

Is this a passive investment?

No. Even when a manager and clinical director are employed, the owner remains responsible for leadership, capitalization, compliance, local performance, staffing, and adherence to the franchise system.

How large is a typical center?

The target size will depend on the final clinic model, number of treatment rooms, market, and approved site. A size range will be published once real-estate standards are finalized.

Where should a Netra center be located?

Preferred sites should offer accessibility, parking, privacy, professional credibility, convenient regional access, and space for approved treatment and assessment functions. Medical-office, professional-retail, and qualified conversion locations may be considered.

Will Netra help me find a site?

The support process may include market criteria, site criteria, review of candidate locations, design standards, and buildout guidance. Franchisees remain responsible for leases, construction, permits, costs, and independent due diligence.

Do I receive an exclusive territory?

Territory rights, size, exclusions, reserved channels, and conditions will be described in the FDD and franchise agreement.

How long does it take to open?

Opening time depends on entity formation, franchise registration, financing, real estate, lease negotiation, permits, construction, licensing, provider recruitment, training, and equipment. Timing is not guaranteed.

Training, Clinical Care, and Growth

What training is provided?

The system is expected to provide owner and management training, opening preparation, business operations, marketing, patient experience, technology, and quality systems. Eligible licensed professionals must also complete NRT clinical education and competency requirements.

Does Netra’s training give me a healthcare license?

No. Franchise or NRT certification is not a government license, board certification, or medical-specialty credential. Professionals must maintain all licenses and work within scope.

Who hires the clinical team?

The franchisee or approved professional entity is generally responsible for hiring and retaining staff. Netra may provide role descriptions, recruiting guidance, credential criteria, and onboarding resources.

Does Netra accept insurance?

The model is expected to rely primarily on direct-pay services. Whether any services may be submitted to insurance depends on the provider, service, payer, location, and applicable law. No owner should represent that NRT is covered without verification.

Can patients use HSA or FSA funds?

Eligibility depends on tax rules, the service, documentation, provider, and the patient’s plan administrator. Franchisees should not guarantee eligibility and should use approved payment guidance.

Does NRT replace a patient’s ophthalmologist?

No. NRT is intended to complement conventional eye care. Patients should continue prescribed medications, examinations, injections, procedures, and specialist care unless their conventional treating provider changes the plan.

Does NRT cure glaucoma, macular degeneration, or retinal disease?

No cure or guaranteed reversal is promised. NRT is a complementary framework intended to support ocular health and function. Patient suitability and response vary, and progressive eye disease requires conventional monitoring.

What conditions may Netra centers work with?

The approved condition list may include chronic retinal, optic-nerve, corneal, vascular, inflammatory, refractive, and functional visual concerns. Every condition page must use approved language, define conventional-care boundaries, and avoid implying that all patients are candidates.

Are herbal products or supplements part of the model?

They may be included when recommended by a qualified professional within scope and consistent with franchise standards. Medication interactions, allergies, pregnancy, organ disease, anticoagulants, and product quality require careful review. Products must comply with FDA and state rules, and they must not be marketed as approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease unless legally authorized.

What marketing support is provided?

Support may include website and local pages, SEO content, paid-media templates, social content, email and SMS sequences, referral materials, reputation tools, launch campaigns, and brand standards. Owners fund local marketing as required by the agreements.

How does Netra protect clinical quality?

The system may use training, credential verification, approved protocols, documentation standards, consent, referral criteria, audits, incident reporting, continuing education, claim review, and quality-improvement processes.

Can I own more than one location?

Qualified owners may be considered for additional units or development agreements based on capital, performance, compliance, team depth, territory availability, and franchisor approval.

Can I sell my franchise later?

Transfers are subject to the franchise agreement, buyer qualification, fees, training, legal compliance, and franchisor approval. No resale value is guaranteed.

What are the next steps?

Submit the request-information form, review the Franchise Information Report, speak with franchise development, complete initial qualification, evaluate the opportunity, receive and review the FDD, conduct due diligence, meet the team, and decide whether to proceed.
