A transparent process for evaluating mutual fit
Choosing a franchise is a significant financial and professional decision. The Netra discovery process should give both the candidate and the franchisor enough information to determine whether the relationship is a strong fit.
The process is educational rather than high-pressure. Candidates should be encouraged to ask questions, speak with advisers, review the FDD carefully, and evaluate their own goals and risk tolerance.
The Discovery Process
Step 1: Request Information
Complete the form to receive the Franchise Information Report and introductory materials. You will be asked about your professional background, ownership experience, desired market, investment timeline, financial qualifications, clinical-partner needs, and single-unit or multi-unit interest.
Step 2: Introductory Conversation
A franchise development representative will discuss your goals, the Netra concept, owner profiles, professional staffing, target market, capital expectations, the discovery process, and initial questions. This call is not an offer to sell a franchise.
Step 3: Qualification and Ownership-Structure Review
The franchisor evaluates initial financial qualifications, background, market interest, ownership model, and potential clinical staffing. Candidates may be asked to complete a confidential qualification form, financial statement, background authorization, résumé or business history, license information, partner information, and territory preferences.
Step 4: Concept and Operating-System Review
Qualified candidates learn more about Netra Restoration Therapy, the patient journey, approved services, business model, staffing, marketing, technology, training, quality and compliance, site criteria, and owner responsibilities.
Step 5: Receive and Review the FDD
At the appropriate stage, the candidate receives the current FDD covering franchisor background, litigation and bankruptcy disclosures, fees, estimated initial investment, supplier requirements, owner obligations, financing, franchisor assistance, territory provisions, trademarks, renewal and termination terms, financial-performance representations if any, franchise agreements, franchisee lists, and financial statements. Federal and state waiting periods apply before signing or payment.
Step 6: Independent Due Diligence
Candidates should consult a franchise attorney, healthcare attorney, accountant or financial adviser, commercial real-estate adviser, lender, insurance adviser, existing franchisees once available, and relevant licensing boards or agencies. Candidates should not rely only on franchisor marketing materials.
Step 7: Leadership Meeting or Discovery Day
The candidate meets leadership and may review mission and culture, clinical philosophy, franchise support, training, operations, marketing, technology, quality, development expectations, and candidate questions. This is an opportunity for mutual evaluation, not a ceremonial approval.
Step 8: Franchise Award and Agreement
If both parties choose to proceed and all legal requirements have been satisfied, the candidate signs the franchise agreement, pays applicable fees, and begins development.
Step 9: Entity, Territory, Real Estate, and Licensing
The owner works through entity formation, professional ownership structure, territory confirmation, financing, site search, lease, design, permits, licenses, insurance, and clinical staffing.
Step 10: Training and Opening Preparation
Owners and team members complete required education. The center installs systems, hires staff, prepares marketing, completes opening checklists, and conducts practice workflows.
Step 11: Grand Opening
The launch may include local marketing, professional outreach, community education, digital campaigns, an opening event, lead follow-up, and early operations coaching.
Step 12: Ongoing Growth and Quality
After opening, the focus shifts to patient experience, clinical quality, local visibility, referral relationships, team development, financial discipline, continuing education, operational improvement, and potential future locations.
